Hallerbos

Hallerbos, or the forest of Halle, is only half and hour away from Brussels and what is particular about it, is that around this time of the year, all the floor is covered in purple flowers.

About a week ago we went for a stroll to the forest, and even though it is still a little cold, the walk was really nice, and it allows you to get out of the routine of the city. To highway to the forest is really nice, after 10 min of road, you get to go through nice rural towns.

What amazes me is that al this towns with their cows and horses are only half hour away from Brussels, and still you get a different environment, so the moment we left the main road we already felt in another world.

This is one of the things that I enjoy the most about Brussels, the fact that you can change environment in a short time 🙂
